FAQs
What is the difference between Courses and Lessons on the web and Licensed Courses?
Answer
Courses presented on this web site are entire UCCP courses, without assessments or instruction, that are available for students and teachers to use for review, teaching and other purposes. A student can move through these Courses from start to finish, reviewing whole chapters and sections. This can be helpful as a study aide to review key sections of a course, to review and prepare for AP exams, and to experience key materials in a multimedia format.
Within these courses are digital Lessons or single lessons from a course or subject areas that have been accumulated in a repository. A student can find a lesson that complements lessons and sections of their textbook as a learning aide. Teachers can incorporate digital lessons into their classroom and online lesson plans to give depth and dynamism to their instruction of a course or subject.
Licensed Courses are complete UC-approved courses with assessments that educational partners – school, district, UC extension, community college – use to teach students. These partners provided credit to the student for the course and coordinate its inclusion on transcripts.
