University of California’s faculty-developed courses are aligned to California content standards and "a-g" requirements and have passed the AP® audit conducted by College Board. Courses employ digital pedagogy developed from UCCP's many years of course development and instruction. The courses can be delivered in varied formats—blended, asynchronous, and face to face. Students, teachers and school administrators who choose UCCP courses are selecting the best online curriculum available—courses designed to engage students with multimedia lessons and tested pedagogies. UCCP courses have been used by thousands of students and teachers in California and beyond. The current collection makes up 36 percent of the college prep curriculum and will expand to 54 percent by 2010. UCCP’s highly interactive multimedia courses engage students with varied learning styles. Courses include text, voiced narrative, video, flash presentations, games, photos and links. All UCCP courses are appropriate for minors. Although the courses stand alone as complete online courses, many students find the online content a valuable complement to classroom instruction. Many teachers assign UCCP online lessons or even use the online course syllabi to help inform their lesson plans. In the future, UCCP will be developing new courses and content to serve the needs of California students and educators. These courses and the digital lessons that comprise them will use the latest educational technologies and pedagogical strategies to enhance learning. UCCP develops new courses after surveying California schools and key stakeholders and analyzing state needs and opportunities. All courses are approved by our Advisory Board to ensure the highest quality and most effective pedagogy. Course Catalog |
