AP Physics C: Course Organization
This course is organized into 11 chapters (6 chapters in the first semester and 5 chapters in the second semester). Each chapter is broken down into three sections: Readings, Lessons, and Assignments.
- Readings – This section includes the learning objectives for the chapter, required readings for all of the textbooks mapped to this course (you choose one textbook), and key concepts, which are a summary of the critical information covered in the chapter.
- Lessons – Each chapter contains two or more multimedia lessons that provide the "lecture" portion of this online course. Associated with each lesson may be one ore more of the following items:
- Study Sheets – This section includes more information on the lesson topic.
- Example Problems – This section includes problems related to the lesson topic.
- Assignments – This section usually includes a self-check quiz to help you review and prepare for the assessment.
- Assessments – This section includes a quiz that follows the same format as the multiple-choice portion of the College Board Advanced Placement Exam. Make sure you have studied all the material for the Lesson BEFORE attempting the quiz.
- Assignments – Within each chapter are assignments that may include: Free Response Questions that follow the same format as the FRQs on the College Board Advanced Placement Exam, Labs, and Discussion Questions that enable you to share your thoughts/opinions on the chapter topic.
