AP U.S. Government and Politics: Course Organization

This course is organized into 11 Chapters. Each chapter is comprised of Lessons, Assignments, Resources and an Assessment.

• Lessons - Multimedia lessons provide the "lecture" portion of this on-line course. Each chapter contains two or more lessons that can be completed in about an hour.
• Assignments
  • Writing Assignments - There is a writing assignment listed for each Chapter. These assignments are to be downloaded and completed within the document provided.
  • Discussion Questions - There is a discussion question for each chapter.
• Resources
  • Supplemental Readings - Each Chapter map contains list of additional readings from supplemental texts.
  • Web Links - The links provided for each Chapter are a great source of additional information on selected topics from each Chapter.
• Chapter Assessments - There is a multiple-choice assessment for each Chapter that follows the same format as the multiple-choice portion of the College Board Advanced Placement Exam. Make sure you have studied all the material for the Chapter BEFORE attempting the test.
